DISCOVERY PICO LASER
Pico Laser is an evolution of the previously ever-popular Q-Switched Laser.
Discovery Pico Laser (or picosecond laser) comes in an ablative and non-ablative modes. It works in ultrashort picosecond laser pulses, rather than nanosecond pulses. Therefore it gives better result when treating for hyperpigmentation, acne scars, skin rejuvenation and brightening, and tattoo removal.
The pulse duration of a Picosecond Laser is 100x shorter than a Q-Switched Laser. Therefore, This means more shots can be fired by a Picosecond Laser in the same amount of time.
Pico Laser vs Q-Switched Laser Comparison
Pico Laser mainly operates at a 1064nm wavelength. The Discovery Pico Laser at YS Clinic comes with its patented Quanta Pico-Boost Technology where it can deliver up to 1.8GW of power, making it the most powerful laser in its class.
At 1064nm wavelength, Pico Laser targets mainly pigmentation.
Pigmentation under the skin absorbs the laser energy shatters into smaller fragments. These fragmented pigments are then removed by the skin’s immune system.
Picosecond laser breaks down pigmentation into much smaller fragments as compared to a Q-Switched Laser. therefore this not only enables the skin to clear these fragments faster and easier, it also reduces the number of treatments required.
